While visiting Virginia I was hosted for dinner at Darby’s Tavern, a part of the Barry Hill Resort. The setting was delightful, very old south charm. I was tempted to try chicken and waffles. The chicken was very good, the waffles were made with cornbread and way to sweet syrup. Nothing ventured – nothing gained. I recommend the tavern and the chicken, but not the waffles.
