On November 21, 2020, it was my privilege to have my granddaughter Ann Garrett (and her father Brian) accompany me to Vandenberg Air Force Base to see my 26th missile launch; their first launch.

If you can imagine it, the Falcon 9 is more than 200 feet in length (approximately like a 20 story building) takeoff on a plume of cryogenic liquid oxygen and rocket-grade kerosene. Annie said it was awesome. As an added bonus we watched the first stage booster rocket return to Vandenberg (my first) and land a few hundred feet west of where it was launched from.
