I was discharged from the United States Air Force over 50 years ago and I returned for a visit on October 15, 2019. during that visit, I took another look at SLC 6. This is a very large Space Launch Complex near the very southern part of the base and Point Arguello. For perspective note the size of the door at the base of the building on the right. That makes this a 30 story building on that moves on tracks. It was built while I was stationed at VAFB in the 1960s but never used until for 30 years. Some refer to it as a giant white elephant.
